Where to start. First of all this box fits flush under the seat
you just need to muscle it in a little bit. What you do is you
stick the box as far back as you can while the bench seat is in
the up position, and then give a firm push when you bring the
seat down. This will make the box flush with the seat. Now this
is where the problem starts. I have a Rockford Fosgate p3 10"
shallow mount sub in here and is connected to a pioneer 1200 watt
300 rms and it sounds decent when it's not under the seat where it
belongs. But as soon as the seat puts pressure on the box the fit
is so tight that when my speaker flexes it touches the ground
therefore distorting the sound. I gave it 3 stars because it sounds
good when not under the seat, but I have to sacrifice 2/3 of the
back seats on my 2004 f150 extended cab with 2 full sized doors and
2 shorty doors. I will be upgrading to a ported box that has space
so the sub is flush with the box.

Thought I could make this box work for me. Wrong! I have a 2009 f150 super crew and this box is loaded w s series Alpine sub. I've spent some time messing w this trying to figure what is the cause of the horrible distortion like sound the sub is putting out. I've elevated the box as much as possible w still being able to lower seat and still the sound this puts out can barely be considered bass. I believe that the space below the sub is so small that the energy dissipation into the floor destroys the sound the sub puts out. When seat is lifted sub sounds great. Only have To sacrifice my back seating. Don't waste your time or money and make the same mistake I did!!!

Fits nicely, but not perfectly under the rear seat. The box sticks out beyond the rear seat about 1/4 to 1/2 additional inch. This isn't enough to be too annoying, but is a bit disappointing. Additionally, the terminals leave a little to be desired, and only accept smaller gauge wire. However, considering the cost, and the specialty of the design, the few flaws this has are outweighed by its overall convenience and ease of installation.
